Eco-design statement
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This page explains what we do to keep shinseistudio.com light, with dated figures, and what is left to do. It is neither a label nor a certification: it is information, updated when the website changes.
Measurements of October 9, 2026
With our eco audit tool (Shinsei method v1: Google Lighthouse and the Sustainable Web Design v4 model), on mobile and on desktop:
- English home page: A+ rating, 82 KB on first display, about 0.012 g of CO₂e per visit;
- French home page: A+ rating, 83 KB, about 0.012 g of CO₂e per visit;
- 12 of the 13 checkable good practices were met; the last one called for a statement like this one.
These are estimates, not an exact measurement of the footprint. The method is published: shinseistudio.com/audit/methode.
What we do
- Light pages, built with our own blocks, without a heavy page builder.
- Images in WebP, at the right size, loaded only when they come close to the screen.
- A single font, in a single file, hosted on our own server.
- No trackers, no advertising, no third-party service loaded before a click.
- A low-impact mode, chosen by the visitor, that replaces photos with lighter dithered versions.
- Compressed files, cached by the browser.
- Hosting with Hostinger, which the Green Web Foundation recognises as green (checked on October 9, 2026).
What is left to do
- We have not yet assessed the 78 criteria of the French RGESN one by one: we apply its main good practices.
- We measure our main pages again after each major change, and update this page.
