This policy explains what Shinsei Studio collects when you use shinseistudio.com and its eco audit tool, why, and for how long. Short version: no tracking, no advertising. Your data is used to reply to you, and to contact you again only if you agreed to it.

Who we are

What we collect

Through the contact form:

  • your name and email address;
  • your company name, if you enter it;
  • your project type, budget, timeline and message.

Through the eco audit tool (shinseistudio.com/audit):

  • the address of the page you analyse, and the result of the analysis;
  • if you ask for your action plan: your email address, your first name if you enter it, and, if you tick the box, your agreement to be contacted, with its date.

When we write to a company: the business email address published on its website, and our exchanges.

We do not use any audience measurement, advertising or social media trackers.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your request and, if you become a client, to follow up on your project.
  • To send you the action plan you asked for.
  • If you ticked the box: to contact you about your website (free opinion, advice, offers). You can withdraw this agreement at any time, with the “Unsubscribe” link in our emails or by writing to us.
  • To offer our services to companies, by email, about their website. Each email lets you refuse further messages.
  • To protect the website and the tool against abuse (see below).

These uses rely on your request, on your agreement, and on our legitimate interest (offering our services to companies, preventing abuse). We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

  • Contact requests: 12 months on our website, then deleted automatically.
  • Analyses made with the tool, without an action plan request: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Action plan requests (email address, first name, agreement): 3 years after your last request, as recommended by the French data protection authority (CNIL), then deleted automatically. If you become a client: for the duration of our relationship. The private link to your report works for 12 months.
  • Companies we have contacted: 3 years after our last exchange.
  • Emails exchanged with you: as long as needed to follow up on your project and meet our legal obligations.
  • Backup copies of the tool: 30 days at most.

Spam and abuse protection

To block automated spam, the contact form checks how often a connection sends messages. For this, your IP address is converted into an irreversible code (a “hash”) and kept for 10 minutes only.

The audit tool does the same to limit the number of analyses and requests per connection, and the number of plans sent to the same email address. These hashes are kept for 24 hours, and never copied into backups.

No third-party anti-spam service receives your data.

Cookies

The website sets a single cookie, sb_sobre, only if you turn on low-impact mode. It remembers your choice for 12 months. The audit tool remembers the same choice in your browser (local storage), without a cookie. Neither contains personal data or is used for tracking.

Who processes your data

  • Hosting and email: Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The website is hosted on a server in Malaysia, outside the European Union: this transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (Decision 2021/914), included in Hostinger’s contract.
  • Shinsei Studio is based in Japan, a country the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection.
  • Eco audit tool: Google (PageSpeed Insights service) receives the address of the analysed page to measure it, and The Green Web Foundation (Netherlands) receives the website name to check its hosting. They receive neither your IP address nor your email address.
  • Your data is not transferred to any other service.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you (including the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the EU GDPR), you can access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, ask for a copy, and withdraw at any time your agreement to be contacted. Write to ; we reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU, you can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

We will update this page if our practices change, with the date at the top.
